A small experiment at home: our kids (8-12) were sick and bored, so we introduced them to Claude Code.

Two hours later, they had a working browser racing game set in our hometown. They did almost everything themselves; we helped with publishing it on GitHub.

The graphics are… charmingly 1980s. But it runs smoothly and it’s fun.

Takeaway for me: if you’re a researcher, it’s worth setting aside an hour to play with these tools -- you might be surprised what you can do now.
